Experience Through Their Eyes

I've only been here twice so far because we just travel through town. Both times have been excellent. Four of us. Each getting something different and loved what we got. This is a classic diner with classic food and service.

We ate at Prairie Kitchen in February 2026. The parking lot was full, with one truck parked in the grass out front. Every table was occupied. I had chicken fried steak, maybe the best I have ever eaten. The "steak" was tender but not like ground beef found in some chicken fried steak. The waitress was kind and efficient checking on us making sure we were cared for. Later she brought a brownie in a hot skillet. It was covered with vanilla ice cream, whip cream and hot fudge. The food quality was very high. We were from out-of-town and noticed that the interaction between customers and wait staff was familiar.

Im from out of state was coming to visit and we stopped and ate at this cute little restaurant. Even though it was very busy, we were seated right away and the service was wonderful. I did not catch the ladies name wish I did cause she was very sweet and attentive. Food was phenomenal. Prices were decent considering how expensive everything is getting. Would recommend and will be visiting this restaurant again. 10/10

I had the roasted corn and black bean omelette this morning without any cheese with the fruit bowl and some hashbrowns. It was delicious even the banana was good. You could taste the roasted corn and the beans and eggs. Nothing was overpowering anything else the service was great. Coffee was good.

Eat here, its so good! One of the best Breakfast's I have ever had! This place knows southern breakfast. Also, this place is a well oiled machine. They are on top of it. Cleaning off the tables and getting people seated. The environment is full of people and quick service. I also loved that you got a whole coffee pot at your table if you ordered coffee! Will be back if I am ever out this way!
